Min Hameitzar (From the Narrow Place): a Tisha B'Av Gathering for the Broken-Open Hearted
Tisha B'Av is the most sanctified day of collective mourning on the Jewish calendar. It is day to make contact with our grief - to feel into all the big hard things that weigh on us, often pushed aside as we are preoccupied with the bustle of summer & the hustle of our lives. Under the shadow of rising fascism, we call you to join us on the land for a Tisha B'Av gathering to practice communal grief-work as an essential element to reclaiming our humanity & toppling empire. Programming will be led by Elana-June Margolis and will include a spacious and nourishing Shabbat together leading into Tisha B’Av ritual and practice, including communal grief-work through song, kriah (ripping fabric), Kabbalistic meditation, collective writing, sharing/ witnessing grief & somatic practice, as well as work with fire, water & stones.
